- What makes an effective leader; leadership versus management; leadership styles; What is instructional/educational leadership.
Unit 2:
- Educational leadership skills and how to develop them; key challenges faced by educational leaders; Time management and productivity.
Unit 3:
- Create and maintain a shared vision and learning culture in the school; shared leadership; cultivate teacher leadership; leading based on evidence and data.
Unit 4:
- Improve the ability to give and receive feedback; Conflict management; change management; strategies for dealing effectively with different stakeholders – teachers, parents, students.
When?From March 16 to August 24, 2023. Always on Thursdays. From 8 pm to 10 pm.

Content:
Unity 1
- Introduction to the course - From the teacher to the trainer and the KASA structure.
- Training vs Continuous Professional Development - Training Methodology
Unit 2
- Designing an effective training session: input types and activity types.
- Lesson planning.
Unit 3
- Feedback: Give oral feedback to teachers.
- Observation and Supervision I: The role of the observer - writing a report.
- Linguistic awareness: identifying errors and focusing on teacher accuracy.
- Promoting Development.
Unit 4
- Identify good teaching practices, prioritize.
- How to observe a class.
- How to prepare a workshop + delivery.
Unit 5
- Case studies: professional development for teacher educators.
When? From March 18 to August 26, 2023. Always on Saturdays. From 1pm to 3pm.
